Title: Helix 10 head unit has something moving inside
Post by: subysti on March 30, 2018, 10:04:14 PM
Curious if anyone else has noticed this?  My new Helix 10 mega head unit seems to have something inside the head unit shifting side to side when you tilt it.  I called Humminbird and they said there shouldn't be any movement inside.  I went back to where I purchased it and they opened 4 others and they all did it to some degree including the display unit.  I'm concerned about longevity with something inside shifting about when I'm out in 3-4 foot seas.  Has anyone else noticed this?  Wondering if I should be re-thinking this.

HB has already said there shouldn't be anything moving inside the head unit  ...(and there shouldn't be)  ...

You might call them again and see if they will look at it under warranty  ...

X2 on what Rickie said. I would never keep a unit that has something floating around inside it. It's just a problem waiting to happen.
