RaptorCap for the 1100 series
« on: April 13, 2010, 10:34:06 PM »
I sent an email to Raptor fishing about a RaptorCap for my 1197 and this was their reply.

Currently we have not had a high demand for this cap.  We do plan on making a RaptorCap for the 1100 series but it probably will not be until next year.

So it seems that not enough people are looking for them. So if you are intrested in one, shoot them an email, maybe they will speed up production.

You can probable make one of your own and for less than Raptor.  You can velcro this to the unit.  I have several types of "shades" I use,,,,, depending on the unit and the placement of the unit.  Chuck

They sold a metal sunshield for the 900 and 1100 series units for about $30.

Louis,
I had to dig around for a while, but here's a good "how to" for building one by yourself:

Thanks Harry
I remember seeing that post also and have thought about doing something along that line.
I have already ordered another cover for the unit.
