Title: I'm new here and I have a question

I might be asking a question that is answered many times but here goes. Why can my mapping not be transferred from my unit that has maps installed (997c) to my other unit (798ci)? Is it just something that is done to sell more cards or is there a technical reason? I Apologize for my ignorance. I've only had these units for a couple of years and I am just now getting ready to link them. Thanks

It’s simple really; the units were never designed to transfer that much data between them.

I agree with you. I think its to sell more chips.
