Title: Helix 5 GPS G2 Sonar Menu Tab problem

I have a problem with this unit. The sonar menu tab is not available in the menus when I press menu button twice. I've been told that there's a procedure to activate it but can only tell me on Monday. Do you know what this procedure is?
I have a transducer XNT 9 20 T installed on the boat and connected to the correct socket on the unit.

The Sonar tab will not be available (in Normal operation mode) if the Sonar is not active ...

I've tried that. No sonar option appears when I press the power button briefly. There's no reference to sonar in any menu or option...

*Press the Menu button when the HB splash screen shows ...
*Select Simulator from the choices in the white popup screen ...
*Press Menu twice to get into the Main Menu System ...
*Cursor over to the Sonar tab ...
*Cursor down to "Sonar" ...
*Cursor left (or right) to turn Sonar on ...
*Power down the unit by holding the power button until it shuts down ...
*Power on the unit ...
*Press the Menu button when the HB splash screen shows ...
*Select Normal from the choices in the white popup screen ...

Does the unit now have Sonar screens ...??

The only unit that does not have Sonar is the HELIX 5 GPS G2 ...which is a GPS/Chart plotter only ...

What does the serial tag on the back of the head unit say the unit model is ...??

This sounds like you may need to contact the seller for the mis-information you were given ...
