If I'm running 2-999's, 1 TD port, 1 TD starboard at the same time I'd get interference? Correct? What would this look like on SI screen? Reason I'm asking is I was trying to do some comparison the other day and was having an awful time. Thanks

Interference in the SI looks like horizontal lines ...

Interference in the 2d looks like vertical lines ... (Digital depth will also usually be erratic) ...

Having 2 SI xducers at the same height can also create physical blockage of the SI beam on that side facing the opposite xducer ...

Since you have 2 transducers mounted, why don't you connect them to 1 unit only using a Y cable. Each transducer would only be using the SI element for that side of the boat.....and then you can share the imaging between the units with Ethernet....You would have no crosstalk concern and SI on both units.
Turn off the sonar on the unit with no transducers physically connected.

That's what I was seeing on 2D and it just dawned on me the other morning it was interference . The SI was very grainy and the left TD was hot on the left side.
What I was trying to do was compare the different software side by side between the 2 units.
Not planing on running 2 SI ducers at this time. The 2nd ducer was from my other unit. Thanks
