New 899 ci HD images..
« on: April 13, 2014, 06:17:18 PM »
I have had my unit about a month and out on the water several times getting used to it and 'tweaking' the 'ducer and unit settings. I am VERY happy with my unit and here are a few images from around my home turf in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. All images from salt water:

1st image looks like a horseshoe crab trail.

Passing under another small bridge.

sunken Jon boat filled with sand/mud. Boat is 16' long.

Large ball of bait not visible on the surface.

Salty, interesting shots of your area.  I know some around here that like that screen color pallet, brings out the fish in the water column they say.  Those are three big ones you got there, any ideas what they could be?

Would like to see some shots of the mangrove areas down your way.  Got into some mangrove snapper the last time I was down there.  Those are fun, throw in a Snook or two and what a day.

Thx for shots

Hey slabbacks.. Got out yesterday and did some more cruising around and recording. I went by the same area (different direction) where those 3 fish were and this time there was just 1 showing up in the scan but it was in the same spot as the last 3. I have a buddy that is a born Florida fisherman and he says they are Goliath Grouper. I believe him as I have caught several small ones from this bridge.. Here is the picture of yesterdays 'loner' waiting for a passing jack to vacuum up..!

I don't go in to the 'back country' where the mangroves are as I am totally ignorant of where the oyster bars and boat/kayak paths are and without a doubt would chew up my motor or bottom of the boat. I'll stick to the deeper 'safer' areas.

Thought you might like this one too. As I was cruising up past some docks, there were 2 porpoise, one on my right and one on the left. I startled the one on the left and he headed out of harms way in a hurry. You can see his bubble path..

I far prefer the grayscale screen color as it is the easiest to make adjustments to and reverse (negative) color to make the focus section of the image pop.

;D  wonder why those porpoise are in there....FISH for days!!  With shots like that I need to re-think my color pallet lol

Going to keep track of what you put up here...nice shots.  Dont blame ya on the back country...you see what I was in.   Did see some big boats come through but they were not in a hurry and did a lot of zig zig stuff.  ;D
