Title: Reader for Navionics card to USB for post to PC
Post by: jerry b on October 04, 2010, 03:08:51 PM
:)  Hi all, I'm a Newbie to this Forum and the 898.  I just installed mine & have a Navionics Hotmaps (basic) for my local lakes.  What type reader must I use to download waypoints to a SD card from the unit to post on my PC for saving same?  Any help appreciated.

If your computer does not have a built-in SD card reader or multi-card reader, this is a good/cheap one to use. It just plugs into one of the USB ports of your computer--

Additional note: by your subject line, do NOT write to the Navionics card, purchase a blank SD card for downloading waypoints, tracks, routes plus doing snapshots and recordings.
