I just installed Terrova 80 and connected to my 899. I cannot export to the i-pilot link. When I select the "export to i-pilot" I select the waypoints and then exit, but nothing happens. I do not get the confirmation screen. could you help? All of the other functions appear to work from the 899 to control and mark spot locks to the i-pilot, but I cannot export.
-
What are you trying to export? Or maybe why. Bob
-
waypoints..The HB says I can export up to 16 waypoints
-
For what reason? If they are in your unit your ipilot memory is not even needed
-
To use the Go-to function from the remote instead of the HB.
-
your remote should show all the items you have on your 899. Just hit go-to and scroll your remote till you see what you want and select it. I look at the ipilot memory as a backup if you loose communication with your 899. I have used link for a year and use my remote to do go to and have never exported anything. Bob

When I hit the saplings on might ipilot, I get a data retrieval error. I thought it was becauese I had not exported the waypoints. I have the "share data" feature turned on.
-
I meant the waypoints softkey on my ipilot.

If your unit and ipilot are registered on the humminbird site, sign in and see what software updates you need for your 899, your ipilot controller and the ipilot remote. Download and load them. If you have already done that call humminbird. Bob

I did the software updates. Guess I need to call HB.

I don't have an 899 but I think there has been a very recent update. The last ipilot update was in November I think. I am sure you have hooked the ethernet cable between them and checked your unit and it shows the ipilot "connected". Then I think Hummingbird support is your next step. Bob

Thanks Bob.. Everything else works from the 899 with the ipilot. I just can't get the data uploaded. I'LLC give them a call.
