Title: Humviewer
Post by: BrazosRiverTom on February 21, 2015, 10:16:46 AM
I am having trouble with the viewer. It will print a snapshot just fine, but I cannot get it to save a snapshot, or I cannot find where it saved it.  I tried saving as a jpeg, then a png. When I title the snapshot, I cannot find the title I named it. All help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When you save the snapshot, it defaults to where you have previously saved snapshots, but you can change it to save wherever you want.

At the top of dialog box that pops up when you select save a snapshot is a bar that says save in:  .....If you click on the little down pointing arrow on the right side of the box you should be able to browse and save the file anywhere you want.
If you save another snapshot, it will default to that location.

What I am doing when I save the snapshot is I just stop the screen from scrolling and click on save. Did what you said saved it to my pictures under the title text.jpeg,  it never shows up in the folder, but if i do a print it prints fine.

Do you have version 86 of Humviewer?   In the file menu on mine it says "save snapshot".

I just tested it and it saves fine to the location I select....It may have to do with some other settings in your computer?

I'd try to get some screenshots, but the wife is standing at the door ready to go.

Thanks I appreciate it, no need to post pics, I am sure it works fine on you puter, I am sure I probably have something set wrong somewhere. I will keep looking, will post again if I figure it out. Thanks

Ok, I loaded both Humminbird PC and Humviewer on my old Windows XP puter and no problems both programs starting up and running like they should.  On this win 7 puter, the Humminbird PC programs has a startup issue stating a .dll is missing, but the program does start and run. So I live with it.  The Humviewer program after working fine on the other puter, went back to this one and I figured it out.  It does not want me to change where the pic is going (unlike the other puter I can put it where I want) so I let it put it where it wanted and it worked. So I will live with that too.  Appreciate your help Bob, thanks.

Glad you got it to work ..... Seems like there must be an underlying cause for it, but I don't have a clue what it is.
