Running power cord and transducer cable together
« on: March 04, 2013, 01:37:57 PM »
Hi all.  Wondering if any of ya, when installing and runnin the cables (power and transducer) through the boat to the head unit, if you've zip tied the power and transducer cables together...   I was wondering if this would cause excess noise or electrical interference.

So should I run separately or is it safe to bundle them together
Thanks!

I wouldn’t zip tie them together because you may have to one day go back and replace the transducer.  You wouldn’t want to also have to reinstall your power cable at the same time now would you?
