Humminbird PC 4.2.0
« on: March 06, 2012, 01:40:13 PM »
So I have finally decided to try using my Humminbird PC and my Navionics PC App 1.3.0.0 as I am getting the itch to get out on the boat soon.
After doing the install for Humm PC I inserted my Navionics HotMaps Platinum chip out of my 997 into the reader and it seems to have recognized it telling me 1/2 of the 15GB chip was used but not showing anyway points. As I am writing this it has clicked in my head this is probably just the preloaded software on the chip and not my points. I have also put in the 2nd chip I keep in the unit only to tell me there is only 2.19MB used with 7.2GB free so I am guessing all my waypoints and sort are stored on the unit or units (997 & 787).
Am I in need of the AS PC2 (or AS PC3 when it is available) to get my waypoints?
Thanks for any help.
Armand

Your map chip or nav,hot map chip will not or cannot store waypoints your internal memory on your unit does.
You do not need a PC cable to access your waypoints in your head unit you will need a blank sd card and a working
pc with HB PC program.Put your card in the head unit hit menu menu go to Nav.cursor down to export all nav.data
Now take the chip with your waypoints and put it in your card reader with the HB PC program up and running
you will see your card come up under the pc image there are 3 arrows upload, download, and exit or eject
upload to the PC when finished they will be on your pc click on + buy waypoints they will show up.I suggest
you read the help topic top of screen.Your on your way.   Gary
