Title: 798ci temperature question

I just got a 798ci with the standard transponder.   I noticed that temperature is displayed.   Is that the ambient air temperature or the water temperature?

   The sensor is in the transducer, so if the boat is sitting on the trailer in the driveway it will be air.
   If your on the water it will be surface temp.
