997c si
« on: September 17, 2017, 10:12:58 AM »
I have a chance to buy a 997c si. I don't need it for si or di, but I wanted something to hook up to my US2 on my trolling motor for sonar and maps. Can I hook this unit to US2 and get good sonar readings with no internal damage to it.

You would want to change the connected transducer setting from Hi Def SI to Dual Beam so it is not trying to ping the SI elements.

Not sure if that is the exact name in the 997 menu.
