Hi all,
I currently have a 997 and 957 that I purchased when they first came out and also purchased the AS Interlink kit part number 406820-1 which is still new in the unopened box.
I am wondering if I would be able to network three of these similar units together so they all share waypoint data ect. I'm interested in buying a 1197c SI to add to the colloection when I get the money saved up and the right price for the right graph becomes available.
My thinking is to use the 1197 for SI with the 957 for GPS mapping and 2D sonar at the helm then transfer the 997c SI to the bow at the trolling motor. Currently I use the 957 22 at the trolling motor and the 997 at the helm.
Does any one know if this is possible and if so what would have to be done physically to make it happen. I understand I may need to do some software updates. At the moment the 997 has had an update that gave it down imaging. I think the j957 may of got an update as well but I can't recall.

Interlink will only share Waypoints ... No Sonar sharing ...
1197 has limited ethernet capability ... xx7 has no ethernet capability ...

Does anyone know what is the best software update for the 957? I hooked up the AS Interlink and the 957 said I needed an update to use the AS Interlink.

I think 6.300 is the last update for 957 ...
That same version works well with 1197 ...

I believe it's the same for the 997c SI as well. Not sure if the software is the same or if they just have the same numbers in the update files.

Generally HB versions are - the same version number is the same software but for a different model ...
