Title: transducer <-> head unit protocol
Post by: oschi on December 22, 2021, 02:18:56 PM
Hi,

does anyone know how the transducer and head unit comunicate with each other?
I guess it works like canbus or similar. I can't imagine that there are any analogue signals transmitted.
But maybe someone knows.

Hi Oschi

Its an analog (chirp) signal. That goes between the unit and the transducer. I have tested this with my oscilloscope a while ago.
Just briefly because the amplitude of the signal was that high that it still maxed out with my x100 probe.
I wanted to measure this again, but with the oscilloscope of the university nearby. They can handle high voltages and have better probes. But then COVID happend and only students where allowed. So I never got to it.

Yes I found something on here it is an 8 bit analogue signal I will try to find the exact post that gives more detail
