Its important that you transfer all the files over from the sd card correctly.  You have to copy the entire RECORD folder and keep all the files in their correct place.  The corresponding .DAT file along with its R000* folder should be transfered if you if you are trying to transfer them individually.  See the text below to understand the structure.

Quote
When the recording is started, the unit creates a R0001.DAT file in the RECORD folder on the SD Card. (The file name is incremental, so the next recording file name would be R0002, R0003, and so on.)

A folder named R000*  is created in the RECORD folder and this is where the actual recording files are stored.  Inside each R000* folder you will have at least 6 files (sometimes 8 files) .  The files are:

B000.IDX     - B000 is used for the 83khz or 50khz 2d sonar depending on the transducer being used.
B000.SON

B001.IDX     - B001 is the 200khz 2d sonar
B001.SON

B002.IDX     - B002 is the Port Side (left) SI Sonar and the frequency can be 262khz/455khz/800khz
B002.SON

B003.IDX     - B003 is the Starboard Side (right) SI Sonar and the frequency can be 262khz/455khz/800khz
B003.SON

You will always have B001, B002, and B003.  B000 will only be recorded if the user has the 83 or 50khz transducer turned on.

kevin,

What version software do you have loaded on your unit.  I have been just getting back into things here and have not checked out some of the latest updates.  If they have made some software changes that have changed the HB format or structure, that would give you the Checkbit 35 error.

i am running the 6.6 update for the 898. on the water the main issue i have seen is the depth will drop out and come back in. if you want me to try an older version of the software. you would have to tell me where to get it. i am new and learning but i have no ideal where to get that from. thank you Kevin
