Aux power, spare power cable
« on: May 05, 2012, 08:01:19 PM »
Hi All,

First post, have been reading for awhile.

Any reason I could not order a spare power cable and power 898 from trolling battery (size 48).  This way I could review recordings, familiar w/menu and output video larger screen.

The transducer and puck don't need to be attached to review info, correct???

Half way through install of 898c si on '05 Tracker Targa 16. Close to refastening side decking.

Yes you can get a second power cable and do just that.  Just remember to use a fuse when you connect it to the battery.

You can put the HB into simulator mode by pressing the Menu button just after the unit finishes with the loading screen.  Use the arrow key to select Simulator.
