Title: 898c HD SI
Post by: dkibat on October 13, 2018, 06:00:55 PM
I am trying to enter coordinates Longitude & Latitude from the Missouri dept of conservation brush pile location while sitting in my yard, Using a LakeMaster chip of the lake with the fish icon installed by them i highlight the icon and show the info of it, Latitude & Longitude, The number's given don't match the MO dept number's so i try to correct and enter a new waypoint list using the Dept #'s for that brush pile but the number's don't go beyond 5 then they go back to 0 no option's for higher numbers. The chip will not let me change to a higher number although the ones's installed by them go higher. Could use a little help.

Was wondering if maybe i have to be on lake and actually locate pile with unit and then have the correct numbers?

The default format for HB is Degrees, Decimal, Minutes such as dd°mm.mmm'

Are you changing the default Position Format (under the Setup tab) to the format that your data for the Missouri dept.of conservation is written in  ...??

THANKS FOR THE QUICK REPLY. I have not changed anything on the Bird, didn't realize it was different here is and example of the coordinates i am trying to enter they have 2 different ones
Longitude -93.319824 Latitude 37.899977
UTM-X 471882.1464 UTM-Y 4194765.5422
These are for a brush pile and the location they have for it. ( These are TOP SECRET ) so be careful with these. LOL.  I don't really have any experience with entering these and don't know what the second set are for.

*Press Menu twice to get into the Main Menu System  ...
*Cursor over to the Setup tab  ...
*Cursor down to "Position Format"  ...
*Change the selection to dd.ddddd° (just leave off the last number in your string)

(Change format back to default dd°mm.mmm' if desired)  ...
