AS-SIDBY-Y Loose?

I just ran the transducer cable for glassing in a puck. I connected the 998 si transducer and the puck transducer tothe SIDBY man it seems loose, I am afraid they will vibrate loose! Is this normal?

It takes a pretty good push to get the 9pin connectors popped together ...(and even greater force to disconnect them) ...

There should be small square tabs on the left and right outside of the male "house shaped" connector ... And matching square holes in the female connector ...

The 2 connectors must be pushed together until these tabs pop into place for a full connection ...

Thanks, I haven't pushed until it snaps, I will do that, thanks again.

Before getting too rough with what you already have ...

Pull the connections back apart and inspect the gold pins in the connector to make sure they all still look straight ...

A bent pin would cause difficulty like you experienced ...
