Title: sharing waypoints

I have a new 898 si and a 2 year old 788ci.I want to be able to mark a waypoint on the 898 and it show on the 788.I was told just a ethernet cable would work is this true.

Ethernet requires each unit to have the same ethernet update and a ethernet fitting on
each unit connected with a cable to mark and share waypoints,both units need to be on
to share tracks,wpts,etc . Gary
