Jeff,

Welcome tot he forum.  Its the Daylight Savings Time setting!  Hit Menu twice and go to the Setup tab.  First scroll down and make sure User Mode is set to Advanced.  Then scroll down to Daylight Savings Time.  It is probably Off and needs to be set to On.

Good Luck,

Robert

My 898 is running latest software and shows a calendar date of 08 or so...
I am betting there is no way to set that to current date, regardless of time.
Will that update when I link into the GPS antenna, and then store the updated date?
Will all my recording files have created dates of 2008?

Good question  ... I’ve never tested this on my 1197  ...

I’m pretty sure creating a waypoint on my 1197 assigns current date  ... which means it would be getting date from the GPS signal  ...

Not sure about date assignment in a recording  ...
