Title: Humminbird Helix DAT file issues
Post by: Colorado #5 on January 30, 2019, 12:42:41 PM
I have a Humminbird Helix 10 Mega Chirp SI GPS.  Over the summer I made some recordings on a lake.  I am just now getting around to viewing them on HumViewer.  However I am receiving error messages when attempting to open them.

The first message I receive on all my files. "This is not a valid Humminbird Sonar recording file. Cannot find type for file: B004.SON

The second message I only receive on a few of them. "Something seems to be wrong with B000 Should contain data fro approx. 561 second(s) but contains only data for 6 second(s) Please note that other data could be corrupted as well."

So has anyone else encounter this issue? Is there a way to fix it? or are my video's corrupt?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

R00008.DAT

But get this... I just went in there to see what file I was selecting... I went to open and selected the R00008.dat file and then hit cancel... When I did that opened it??? That is so weird... So I think.... It's working... How I have no idea.
