Title: Helix 8
Post by: crankin007 on September 25, 2019, 12:17:43 PM
I recently purchased a Helix 8 MSI GPS G3N  (https://i978.photobucket.com/albums/ae266/smwis007/TTF%20Forum/Bowmount%20measurement_zpsbm7ksjd9.jpg)Unfortunately do to the design of my boat I cannot mount the transducer on the back of my boat. I have included a picture of my bow mount trolling motor because I am trying to find a transducer that will work with my Helix and fit under on my bow mount trolling motor with 6” of space.
Thank you,
Shawn

The skeg on a TM is basically to protect the prop  ...

I have seen pix where some guys notch the skeg for larger xducers  ...

Transducer shield and saver web site has a lot of Humminbird shields that might help you out.

As a PS I bought a transducer mount from Podunkideas .com. I have had two of his mounts and I can't say enough good about them. I just put a Helix G3N on the bow using his mount.
