Topic: Helix 9 SI and two plus transducers

I just bought a Helix 9 SI.  I also purchased a XTM 9 HDSI 180 T for the trolling motor.  The transducer that came with the unit will go on the transom AND I have another high speed transducer that is / was for another unit but it is compatible with the helix 9 as well.

I haven't unpacked the Helix yet but I have mounted the HD transducer I on the trolling motor.

Before I spend the time mounting the regular SI transducer, will I need a switch to use both of these transducers?  I've read about a SILR Y cable...  is that all is takes?  If so, would it then be possible to daisy chain a couple of those y cables and add a third high speed transducer?

any thoughts or recommendation are appreciated!

The HB TS3 switch is needed to connect 2 SI xducers to 1 head unit ... It allows use of only 1 of the SI xducers at a time ...

The AS SIDB Y cable is needed to connect a Dual Beam (2d) xducer to one of the SI units ... The AS SIDB Y cable is a cable splitter that disconnects the 2d piezo in the SI xducer and wires in the Dual Beam xducer in its place ... The head unit that uses the AS SIDB Y cable connection "sees" this setup as 1 xducer... because it's merely rerouting wire channels in the cables ...

If I understand you correctly, the diagram I just made should work.  The HDSI is on the trolling motor, the regular SI under the step on the transom and the dual beam on the outside drivers side of the transom.

so when the trolling motor is UP and the HDSI is out of the water, the dual beam will still read at high speed, correct?   and then if I want to run slow and si image with the engine, the regular SI will handle that with a flip of the switch.

("LR" indicates left/right) ...used with 2 separate HDSI xducers in a Setup where left SI comes from the port HDSI xducer and right SI/2d/temp comes from the starboard HDSI xducer (sometimes beneficial when blockage on one side is imminent with 1 HDSI xducer alone) ...

Your setup should use the AS SIDB Y cable ... ("DB" indicates Dual Beam) ...used with 1 HDSI xducer and 1 Dual Beam xducer ...
