Title: Best Shallow water settings?
Post by: ArtTricks on August 22, 2014, 11:47:02 AM
Hey guys Ive got a 899 SI at the console and a 859 ci HD DI and the trolling motor. I'm using the original color palet and when i'm fishing in about 12ft a rock bottom would show red on the sonar while the same bottom in 3-4ft will show yellow, is there a better set of settings that i could use the find rocks in the shallows?

BTW Eyes arent an options since i have about 3-4 inches visibility where i fish!

Thanks folks!

Since you have the 899 Si unit you could use the Green/Red SI Colors menu setting and spot the rocks using your Si sonar.  They should really stand out against a soft bottom.
