Title: Software version 8 series units vs New 9 series units

Greg, what versions of software will be needed the older 898, 998, 1198 units for the units to be Ethernet connected and share waypoints with the new 1199 units?

RuffWood,
You would need to be running software version 6.640 or 6.680 or higher (due to the changes in the software made in those versions) for it to work with the 1199ci HD Si units.  The 1198 units will all ship with at least that level or higher software so to communicate with them the older units would have to running at least those versions or higher.

Thanks for your help Greg, trying to make a decision on purchasing the new 1199.
