Title: 997C, 858C, and Interlink
Post by: panman_va on February 15, 2011, 08:53:20 AM
Is it safe for me to update the 997C to software version 5.320, the 858C to software version 5.210, and keep the Interlink working? I currently have 4.995 Beta software on both units. Everything works fine. I do not want to mess up Interlink again by updating software unless I know it is going to work.

If it were me I would sit tight for a while.  As you have read, there are issues with this configuration and I would see where all this goes before updating...
for some it works for others it does not.
Dont be in too big of a hurry..

I would suggest waiting it out as well Keith.  We are getting mixed versions of whether it works or not right now.  Unless someone is just dying to have the new features in their unit I would recommend staying where you are if your units are InterLinked.

Thanks. I'll wait for a while before I update software so any lingering issues can be ironed out. The only thing I worry about is shallow water performance with the Beta software. I have not had my boat out yet to see if this is an issue.
