How do I get rid of the icon for the snapshots labeled like R00044 and so on. the movie symbol

If all you want to do is use a different waypoint icon for these than just go in an Edit the Icon for each waypoint.

If you want to get rid of the waypoints than just delete them; the screen snapshot and recording will still be on the SD memory card.

I have cleaned my sd card and want to delete the snapshot icon completely its crowding my real waypoints, so just how do I delete them as they are not in my waypoint log

You cannot delete the waypoint icon completely without also deleting the waypoint itself.  If that is what you are wanting to do than select the waypoint, whether that be from the screen using the cursor or through the Waypoint > Edit menu, and select “delete”.
