Helix 9 SI with Navionics+ and Zero Lines Card
« on: March 22, 2017, 12:27:09 PM »
Hi:
Anyone having issues viewing Autochart info (live and Pro) on the Helix 9 SI with 1.350? I'm pretty sure I USED to be able to see autochart live and pro info when I selected the "Fish n' chip" card (Navionics+), but no more.  There is not even a menu item to see the overlays.
Granted I haven't been out on the open water (still 3' of ice here) but even when using it as a flasher with the Ice 'ducer I can't seem to get any autochart info to appear.  If I select the zero lines card it seems normal, but as soon as I go back to the Navionics+ chip it disappears, and so do all of the menu items.  Am I missing something?  It worked fine last year on the water, I got good autochart live info as I went using the Navionics+ chip (it is all backed up so I still have it), but now I get nothing.  It all seemed to go when I updated to 1.350.
Any suggestions?

My only hope is that when I die, my wife sells my fishing stuff for what I paid for it, not for what I said I paid for it.

Figured it out... What was happening was the simulator does not provide a "real" gps position to the head unit, so even though the unit displays base map and chip info, it does not display any autochart info on anything other than a zero lines card.  Once I got out of sim mode and had a good, actual GPS signal, it worked fine, and I was able to see my stuff from last year on the Navionics+ chip.  Phew!!!
