Doing a little research I came across the Transducershield Spring Back Bracket. Claims to stop the weak bird bracket from flipping up at high speed and also the design of metal plate reduces or eliminate the rooster tail. Any one have any experience with this set up with the high def SI transducer. Looks like a well made aftermarket product to help keep me from pulling my hair out!

I have it mounted to an aluminum transom. It's good for a depth reading until 30-35mph, and it eliminates any rooster tail. It returns the transducer back in place if it flips up, so you're not hanging off the back of the boat trying to put it back into place.

That is good to know. Mine will be mounted on a Lund Tyee. It sounds better all the time

I've got it on a Lund as well. If you're wanting to get depth readings at anything faster than 30mph, you'll need to add an alumaducer.
