Registering an iPilot Link Minnkota,
« on: November 06, 2013, 10:07:24 PM »

Hello Team,
I have a new iPilot Link Minnkota which I'm trying to add to my account at humminbird.com (According to my account it should be able to handle adding a Minnkota too)

I have the eleven digit serial number as per the link on the site telling me where to find it.

When I enter the serial number of the Minnkota it doesn't resolve to a model number like my Humminbird sounders did so it won't let me add the unit.

The way it looks I won't know if there are any firmware updates for it unless I have some specific unresolveable problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Geoff

Thanks Greg,
Which time zone are they in as I'm Australian and will need to work out the offset.

Geoff

Scratch the above request Greg, I found the service email address on the website and sent a message instead.

Turns out I need to open the head of the motor and get the serial number from under a flip up lid!

Simple case of entering the wrong number!

Thanks again for the help.

For future reference: they are on the Central time zone.  Typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  Most Wednesday mornings from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM they have a meeting.
