798 CI SI Buying Question
« on: March 19, 2011, 11:45:20 AM »
I am going to buy a 798 CI SI combo unit. I have found the unit for $799. I have researched this unit and have a question. Can a transducer/transducers for both the DI and SI functions of this unit be mounted inside the hull? I have talked to one person said no and I read that there might be something out there to do this. Thanks for your help in advance!!

The si and di are from the same transducer.

Everything I have seen says this won't work.
A lot of people do mount a second 2d transducer to shoot though the hull for high speed depth reading.
**Looking for the one that makes it all worthwhile**

Yes the SI/Di go outside the boat and you can then get a thru the hull for 2d that mounts in the floor...
