Title: Yamaha to Solix 10
Post by: Mojito on March 28, 2023, 02:23:21 AM
Hello, I just bought a new (to me) boat. Its a 2014 Alumacraft with a 115. I am wanting to connect my Yamahas ECU to my Solix 10 device. There is little information out there about the NMEA 2000 connecting to a Solix. I am not sure what I need. I've been told I need a black box, I've been told I don't. I need some clear list of things I need. I know I need the HB NMEA or Lowrance starter kit, but that doesn't come with the 4 pin square connecter I need. Someone please help!

I connected my Mercury to a solix a while back and got a Humminbird Nmea 2000 Starter Kit - Dual Unit

SKU: HUM700065-1    and a Mercury gateway kit.

For a Yamaha you will need a Yamaha gateway kit and a Nmea 2000 starter kit.

To find out what you have to do,  just do a google search    "yamaha nmea 2000 to a Solix"    This will have videos on what you need and how to do the job

Not a very difficult task.
