The GPS screen started fading in and out this past weekend. Weather was warm with clear skys. Voltage was over 12 volts. I have had the unit since March 2007 and never had this problem. Last download was m797c2.4_770.bin.

The actual screen was fading in and out?
Did the sonar screens do this as well?
