2D sonar looks like an EKG
« on: September 26, 2013, 02:17:56 PM »
Lately I've noticed that while sitting still in depths from 15-20', the 2D screen will cutout for a second every 3 seconds or so.  The depth will flash and the bottom will produce a jagged line.  With a chart speed of 1, this puts a "bump" every .25".  Also seems to only happen at speeds under .5 mph.

Do you have another transducer or know of someone that has a Humminbird unit that you could cross-test with?  This would work with any non-DI model unit, just be sure to only plug in the power and transducer on each unit for the test.
