Title: 1197 losing gps after 7-10 min

My 1197 is losing the gps after 7-10 min.......
software 6.640
gps = AS GRP (new module, old was doing the same)
restart, and it will work fine for 7-10 min, then "gps not connected"....

reinstalled the software, reset defaults, tried it with map cards removed........
works every time it's restarted.....for 7-10 min!!!
Same on the trailer, not moving, not moving cables, not pushing any buttons.......

$500 flat repair fee....... :'( :'( :'(

I would 1st try wiggling the cable while viewing the Connected Accessory view (you will have to make this view Visible under the views tab) ...

I would then try bending the pins slightly to try to get better contact ...

I would then try finding someone with a HB GPS antenna to cross test ...

wiggling cables has no effect.......

bend pins.....??........works fine on trailer,..no movement,..... for 7-10 mins then quits.

This is the 2nd gps module (this one new), both same prob.

What software version do you have on the 1197?
