Info Sonar tab

I bought a used boat 2 years ago, a sonar gps 798 ci  installed. In the SONAR tab, there is the choice of either: quad beam or side scan available. Does that mean that I have the probe the quadra beam, or if it is by default and always present.Thanks!

The unit does not automatically detect which xducer is connected to the unit  ...

You have to tell the unit which xducer you have connected so that the unit can transmit the correct frequency options for the xducer you connected  ...

There should be indication on the xducer cable close to the connector end that indicates that xducer model  ...

The stock xducer for the 798ci SI is the XNT 9 SI 180 T  ... and the correct "Connected Transducer" selection  for that xducer is "Compact Sidescan"  ...

This selection will allow the 798 to transmit 83/200kHz for 2d Sonar and 455kHz for SI/DI  ...
