Title: Helix 10 Base map
Post by: Tjo on April 24, 2019, 04:44:09 PM
I'm running two helix 10's network. I currently have no base map installed. My question is do I even need them is i'm using navionics and lakemaster maps? I don't have a zero line card yet so not sure that would make a difference. I just did all the updates to latest software on Helix's,  iPilot link and remote and I noticed an updated base map was available.

I would only think that you would if the places you are fishing are not on the other cards. As I live and fish small creeks and rivers that are not on ANY maps per say, I bought the Zero Lines Cards and have been making my own. Also if you are using live auto chart you will run out of room on the internal memory. Put a formatted Zero Lines Card and you can save all that data you are recording if you want.
