My old boat is rigged up with older Humminbird fish finders. I have a couple of old 899ci HD SI, I think. Two SD card slots. I have Autochart Pro and I have made a map of the 175 acre lake I fish. There are no map chips for this lake, Lakemaster, etc. It's time for a new troller and I want to be able to network with my fish finder and map program. The older i-Pilot link units will wire up with my fish finder using the dongles, ethernet cables and switches. I have all of that stuff already. The new MK Quest stuff is all Bluetooth and there is also a network plug on the motor head. All the new motors have the same plug on them. The guys at Cabela's couldn't tell me if they could be used together with my legacy 800 series units. I like the new brushless trollers, but I don't want to buy one unless I can network with my older stuff. Do I need to find an older i-Pilot link troller to be able to use my Zero Lines card and map? I want to be able to follow the 20 ft A-C contour around the lake without having to drive the motor.

Does anyone know what recording views are assigned to each "B" file?  In other words which view is assigned to B000, B001, B002, B003, and B004?

Thanks, Bayou Basser

Ricki thanks for the response now all I need to do is pull the plug on the new one.
Do you have a sales pitch for me? I’m easily persuaded if the technology of the Helix G4 far far far exceeds the old 1199 si.

1. No  ... HELIX 12 CHIRP MSI+ G4N uses HW CHIRP low Q 2d and your current in hull transducer is 83/200kHz 2d  ... you will need the XP 9 HW in hull transducer  ... https://humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.com/us/shop/accessories/transducers/xp-9-hw-helix-dual-spectrum-chirp-hull-transducer

2. Yes  ...

3. No  ... AS SIDBY Cable is not compatible with HELIX G3N or G4N units  ... you will need the 9 M SIDB Y cable which also has a dedicated DI circuit  ... https://humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.com/us/shop/accessories/cables/9-m-sidb-y-helix-side-imaging-2d-sonar-splitter-cable

I’m moving on from my 1199 to a new helix 12 si G4 and I have a few questions on compatibility.
1. Is the in hull transducer I have installed XP9 20 t compatible or is there a better transducer?
2. Will my Navionics card and my SD stored waypoints card plug in without issues?
3. Is the Y cable I have installed for the 1199 be compatibleP?

Helix Series Units / Re: NMEA 2000 on Helix G4N

Update: Today I received an email indicating that my two Helix G4N had a new software update available. After loading the update then viewing data boxes in the engine data screen, then select ENGINE, engine hours is now available as an option.
Thank you Humminbird,
Al
