Title: Who use easy view from Caris for 3D mapping?

Hello,
i would like to do 3D mapping with my files recorded on my 998C, i've found "easy view" here:

it seems to be possible to do 3D mapping and its FREE.
but unfortunatly, it doesn't recognize  ".dat" or ".xtf" files, i think i have to find the right file converter.
do anybody use "easy view" to creat 3D map with humminbird file?

I've tried numerous free software for 3D mapping and nothing comes close to Drdepth ease of use. Sure it's around 100$ but the time you save in multiple conversions and frustrations is worth the cash!

i've found "sonar trx":http://www.sonartrx.com/web/Home/Products (http://www.sonartrx.com/web/Home/Products) seems great also... but not free!

I don't think you can create maps with easy view.  It's a viewer not a map builder.  The full version of Caris is somewhere in the neighborhood of $20,000 probably a bit much for your avg user.
