Title: Update software without transducer?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but can I update my unit without the transducer attached running in simulation mode?

Yes, you can.  This is how I usually do mine.

You dont have to go to simulation mode.  restore defaults........ turn off .....insert card.....turn on...watch the screen...
