Title: can I mount my Humminbird XNT 9 20 T to shoot through the hull?
Post by: Fish-N-Fool on April 13, 2020, 04:38:25 AM
I want to epoxy my transducer to my fiberglass boat as the mount broke and it never works under power anyway.  Will this work and still get SI and DI as well as sonar? can I use any good epoxy? 5 min or 2 ton?

A little clarification please  ...

The XNT 9 20 T is 2d only (it can be used as a shoot thru)  ...

The XNT 9 20 T does not do DI nor SI  ... is there another xducer in the mix that you did not mention  ...

I guess that is not the transducer i have like I thought it was.  What I have is a S.I. and D.I. sonar transom mount. I don't know what the # is of it. Can I epoxy it to the hull and get it to work?

You can epoxy any HB xducer that has 83kHz/200kHz in the bilge and get 2d  ... but it will not work for DI or SI mounted in the hull  ...
