Does anyone know if I take a 898c and connect it to only a 360 will i get depth reading and map. i have a 898 by my console on a ram mount now. Thinking about getting a trolling motor mounted 360 and another ram mount then when i get to fishing site just move it up front and plug in power and 360 ethernet cable only. That way I can utilize my 898 up front and at console. My understanding is 360 comes with its own gps puck. Thanks!

Map yes ...360 no ...
360 connected to a SI unit needs a 2d source from somewhere ...Either plugged directly into the xducer connection on the head unit ... or thru the ethernet ...
There is no 2d piezo in the 360...
