Hi All:
I have a 1197 that works great until I try to do something with the mapping. Anything with waypoints. It all started when I tried to install waypoints from another unit. Now it locks up any tine I try to use mapping. I think I have a corrupted waypoint, but that is just a guess on my part. Did anyone else have this problem and if they did, may I fix it here or do I have to send the unit back to HB? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million Gene

It is very possible you may have a corrupt waypoint...
You can Export your Nav data to a SD Card ....and then import that Nav data into HumminbirdPC....
Then you can inspect the waypoint data for anomolies like duplicate waypoints, wrong format waypoints, erroneous date waypoints...etc....
If your unit is registered with HB...you can download the HBPC program from your account on the HB website...

Thanks for the input. If I try to hit any button associated with the Nav part it locks up. If I try to hit export waypoints it locks up immediately.

If there is a map card in the unit..try taking it out and test...
Well...for that matter....take any card out of the unit and test...
