Title: Curious: will my power cord for Matrix unit work with 798c si hd?
Post by: KeggER420 on March 02, 2013, 04:40:13 PM
It already has an inline fuse and is ran through my boat.. Will it work on the 798? It would be nice if I only had to install the transducer. Not sure it has the same PIN adapter or if it will generate the same voltage to run my 798

Thanks!

Ahh yes I answered my own question.. Matrix used the pc10, the 789ci si hd requires the pc 11

only difference between the two cables is the inline filter/choke.

Interesting, will it hurt to use the old pc 10 to power it up at home?

The wire gauge is different between these two power cables (the PC-11 having the larger current carrying gauge wire), but the 798 should not need the extra amperage and will run fine on the PC-10.  The reason the PC-11’s are packaged with the 798 units is to help prevent electrical interference from the boat’s power source on the 798 units.
