Slave Units boot up to recording view ......
« on: May 16, 2013, 10:23:53 AM »
Hi,

I am running a i-pilot link motor, a 898 and two 858's on an Ethernet. As recommended, I boot up (power on) the main 898 unit at the helm and allow it some time to boot up. It has the GPS, both transducers (via y cable) which all three units share .....

It seems to me, I am constantly having to manually re-boot, both slave units (the 858's) in order for them not to automatically assume they are in record mode (grey screen red border)...... is this normal, or should they just boot up and do their thing .....

Sometimes it's 2 or 3 attempts before they seem to figure out they are on a network ......

It's not a big deal, but it is a bit annoying ........Is this normal?
