Hello everyone,
I have heard that the 1197 will be replaced with a upgraded version that will be a 1198. Does anyone have any info and what the upgrades would be?

Welcome to the forum Allan.

Nothing heard about a 1198. The only thing I read of was a 998 or a 898, but I think Robert or Greg can shed more light on this.

I think the only change in the 1197 is the basemap...from Unimap to ContourXD...

According to Eddie @ humminbird the 1197 remains unchanged for 2010

Greg stated that there were no plans for an 1198 in 2010.  But he did say they would be updating the mapping program to the ContourXD.

This is also the info that I received from Greg...all other upgrades for the 1197 in 2010 are free software downloads when they become available...
