Title: A couple questions about the 998c SI.
Post by: tierce2008 on September 15, 2010, 07:09:25 PM
Just got the 998c SI unit last week and I have a couple questions.....1. is it possible to create a screenshot without marking a waypoint? If so how?
2. When I see screenshots other people have took on their side image screen, you can actually tell that there are rocks there and can see the individual rocks. I idled over big rocks around a bridge and it didnt look anything like their pics. Is there a certain setting (contrast, sensitivity, etc...)  to use to be able to see cover in that much detail? Thanks any help!

tierce2008,

1. No it is not possible to make a snapshot without creating a waypoint.  I think a great wish list item would be a prompt to ask if you want to create a waypoint for this snapshot.

2. I recommend reading up on basic SI settings.  Here is a good post to get you started.

Please post a snapshot for us to look at.  It will tell us more about whats going on and help you get better images.

Good Luck,

Robert
