Title: General Settings
Post by: Basskicker on April 07, 2010, 10:41:13 PM
Got new unit  installed last week have not had a lot of time with it but would like some suggestions on settings such a sensitivity level, range and etc. I fish in TN. The main lake I fish next to my house has a lot of rock and laydowns as well as a lot of junk in the lake. Do I need to adjust according to where I am on the lake? Also some help on what settings for Down imaging to get best results while driving around lake looking for humps and sunken brush? Would appreciate just a little advise.

Thanks  Basskicker

Rgecy has this link that helps.  In addition  the side distance should be set at about 2 to 3 times the depth.

The settings will function for SI or DI.  The Di display is from the SI transducers.

If this is new to you, then take time to just play with the unit settings.  Check out what they do to the display.  You can not hurt the unit with settings.  Maybe mess up the display image but you can always restore any previous setting,  or even reset to factory defaults.
