#1 - Fantastic, I couldn't live without it.  Well worth the money.

#3 - Biggest piece of cr@p I ever bought.  I wasted my money.

It takes a while to get everything set up.  have only had it out twice so far.  it is amazing how some schools of fish are moving around. In  a short period of time I can see me changing my opinion to a 1

Thanks for all the replies.

Chuck,
It's that bad?
Please elaborate.
What don't you like about it?

ScottMN,
I'm all tapped out.
I won't be able to buy ANYTHING for a few months.

Wow,
I'm really surprised at the bad reviews.
Maybe you guys are using it for moving and searching.

I plan on using the 360 from an anchored boat, which is not
moving at all.

Do you guys think for that scenario it would work OK.

I have read a lot of bad reviews from this site on the 360. That's why I didn't take the plunge. That and the $2000 price tag which seems super high for a glorified SI transducer. The boat has to be sitting 100% still to be accurate. There is always some wind, wake or waves on all the water that I fish on so I doubt that would ever happen. I just cruise by using SI, mark my structure points and come back and fish them. No need to see every limb and crevice to be able to fish a spot. It takes some of the fun out of it IMO. My buddy has one and is a big time bass fisherman. I used it on his bow a few times and wasn't very impressed. He hardly even uses it. Now if it was a $500 add-on, maybe Id have thought a little harder about it......

Rotus,
The price has dropped.  I see them now for $1,499.99 at several places.
My plan is to bait fish from an anchored boat (in freshwater), and cast lures to
fish moving into my area.

I can see how, on salt water with big waves, it may not work very well.

I wonder why Humminbird hasn't come out with a new and improved
360?  Maybe Greg can answer that.
I know they now have a Bow mount, but I'm interested in the
Transom mount.

#4 - Not enough time with it to make a judgement.

After taxes are done, I'll be rigging it up for open water. Only used it ice fishing so far, over 30' depth. Wasn't able to see large schools of 14" salmon all around and directly underneath. How do I know they were there? Saw 'em on my aqua-vu.....hundreds of 'em!!! Will be trying it for walleye in shallow lake....max 8'. Will be interesting to see how things change as the weeds grow and take over. I'm hoping to be able to see fish as they move in, out, and all around the weed beds.......and catch 'em, of course!!

Details to follow.............

2.

I dont have enough time on the water to get good at using it.  I'm struggling with interference issues again coming from my Terrova.  I just need to get the time to dial it in and I think I'll like it more.

Scrutch,
You should have put this in a different post.
I would check the power connections to your 360 Imaging accessory and if they look good; try calling the Humminbird CRC folks at 1-800-633-1468

Can't you put in a request to test out a 360?

I'd like to know how it works with the boat anchored and
sitting absolutely still, with only the right half of the screen
circle being displayed and updated.
Can it actually see fish out to 150' well enough to accurately
cast to them?

Since it is not a part of my normal job duties here ITG, I have to be lucky and hitch a ride with someone else.  I’m not always available to do that nor is anyone else.  This is a busy tome of the year for us so everyone is still in the “go mode”.

Maybe we can get kosmo to post a few images on here for us.

My apologies to everyone if I have tainted the voting.  That was an AIRBALL on my part.  FWIW Despite the few issues I need to overcome, I love the product.

My vote is a 2.  If I get the issues worked out it would be a 1.

Considering the excellent service I have received from HB customer service in the past, I expect to change my vote to a #1 in the near future.

That's great Scrutch.
I'm glad you like the 360.
The gives me more encouragement to get one.
I think if set-up and used properly it can help you catch more
fish.
Look at this video from Doug Vahrenberg.  It looks like he's in a kayak.  The 360 is guiding him towards fish:

Ive had the 360 bow for 6 months and fish 2-3 times a week. It shows some things well at times but never 100% consistent. I'd say #2 could live without it either way!! And close to saying that it is a gimmick piece of junk at times????

Haven't had a bunch of time to use it yet, but from what I have seen its pretty neat. I think, once I get the hang of it, it will be well worth having on the boat.

I rate the 360 a 1+
I have probably used the 360 at least a dozen times and the more I use it the more I fall in love with it.  I troll a lot and it is great for trolling and showing trenches off to the side of where you are trolling.  You are able to see trenches ahead of the boat and then position the boat to troll your lures at the break.  I use it with a 1198 and troll using a I-pilot setup while sitting in the back of the boat.   One of the last times out I was following the contour of a map made with Auto Chart and I noticed a nice rock structure on the 360.  I anchored the boat and was able to catch an assortment of fish until the weather threatened and I had to go in.in.1+

I'd give it a 1.5. I have the bow 360. Great for tracking weedline edges and seeing what's coming up ahead. There are some improvements I'd like to see though. Needs some kind of support for the 360 when the trolling motor is stowed away. I could see the 360 getting shaken up pretty bad in rough water. I think it will shorten the 360's lifespan.

Other than that, mine has been flawless but my bil bow 360 has failed him. Humminbird took care of him under warranty.

Here is a picture I took the last time out.  I was able to catch all types of fish while here.  I had to leave when I saw bad weather coming in.  I no sooner got the boat on the trailer when the clouds opened WIDE open.   I got off the water just in time.  I might try the 360 this winter and see if this spot will still produce.
